Is this a contract? What’s the commitment?
BBCI uses a minimum 5-year agreement with an annual opt-out option (90-day notice). The signup form is not a contract—just a request for more info.
What acres are a good fit?
Typically: edge-of-field buffers, low-performing corners, erosion-prone areas, field borders, waterways, and places where perennial cover can reduce headaches.
How do payments work?
Years 1–2 include a participation stipend. Year 3+ payments are outcomes-based (per-acre) tied to verified results. Payment timing is communicated in your enrollment plan.
Who does the monitoring and what does it involve?
BBCI coordinates monitoring (typically April–September) using a combination of field equipment and indicators. We aim to minimize disruption to your operation.
Will this affect my existing conservation programs?
BBCI is designed to work alongside familiar conservation programs. During planning, we coordinate to avoid conflicts and reduce duplication.
What happens after I sign up?
We contact you within 72 hours to schedule a short intro call, then (if there’s mutual fit) a field visit and a custom plan.
